Our new home is currently being built and I'm so excited to move in, it's going to be great to start from scratch on a blank canvas instead of working with what is already in the house, however I must admit the task of designing and choosing decor for every room in the new house is a little daunting.
I've been looking everywhere for some inspiration and my favourite source for amazing home decor has to be Ideal Home magazine. It's packed full of amazing interior design ideas from both experts and real people who have amazing homes.
I love to see how people have transformed their homes, getting all of the details on how much it cost and where they bought their items. Ideal Home features ideas for every room in your house and for every kind of budget and all different kinds of styles, whether you like shabby chic or cool and contemporary.
As our new house is a cottage style house in a village we're going for a country cottage kitchen and I've gotten some brilliant ideas from the mag. I like how they feature items from high street shops like Wilkos and George at Asda, as well as designer items, because some interior design magazines are just full of designer pieces that are far too expensive for me to even consider. Because the items are within my price range I feel like the look is more achievable.
There are even ideas for your garden, so they pretty much cover every aspect of your home. I love to sit with a cup of tea and spend all evening reading through each issue and imagining how amazing our new home will be. Every time I find something I like I pop onto the internet, find a picture and pin it to my various Pinterest boards so I can look at everything all together and also not forget where things are from.
