After giving away two tickets to London Fashion Weekend, the UK’s biggest pop-up shopping event, magazine.co.uk popped down to check it out for ourselves. Ladies, let us be the first to tell you that the Autumn/Winter 2015 styles look amazing, so fireproof your credit cards and make space in your wardrobes...
The event certainly wasn’t short of eye-catching scenes; the outfits, the hair-dos and the handbags. The world of fashion joined together as bloggers, celebrities and fashionistas mingled in the courtyard of stylish Somerset House, sporting bold and brave outfits with heaps of clashing colours. Some even matched fine and elegant tailoring with Nike kicks.
Shopping was followed by a chilled Prosecco in the VIP lounge and a treatment at the Toni & Guy blow-dry bar. We were treated to a look ahead at AW/15 in the Trend Show hosted by theoutnet.com and ended the day with a relaxing cuppa in the courtyard with a copy of Elle magazine.
The Trend Show previewed the key looks of the upcoming season, from ‘Hyper Florals’ and ‘That Seventies Show’ to ‘Shimmer & Shine’ and ‘Monochrome’. Botanicals, grown-up glitter, oversized stripes and yes, flares and fringing will flood the high street.
With armfuls of shopping and a fabulous goody bag packed with freebies we left feeling excited about the season ahead and proud to be part of such an iconic week. We can’t wait to catch up with all the trend reports and new season launches in our favourite fashion magazines over the coming months!
